At Matt Nickels Stained Glass, we are specialists in stained glass conservation, heritage restoration, repair and the cleaning of stained glass in the studio and in-situ. We also undertake the manufacture and restoration of traditional leaded lights and historic ironmongery relating to windows such as metal casements, ferramenta, grilles and bars.

Matt Nickels grew up in a family run stained glass business and is the in-house stained glass expert on the BBC One TV show The Repair Shop. As well as decades of experience working with stained glass, Matt has also worked at York Glaziers Trust, who are the studio attached to York Minster Cathedral. Matt has an M.A in Stained Glass Conservation and Heritage Management, which he gained at the highest level of distinction.
